Summer 2022: July 11th – August 19th
The students will participate in weekly online class sessions and work through a series of video lectures to learn critical skills for melodic and harmonic dictation and sight singing. They will also receive feedback on performance exercises and have plentiful practice drills using the Auralia web-platform.
Each unit contains video lessons on rhythmic dictation, pitch dictation, intervals, sight singing, and melodic dictation. Units 3 – 5 will introduce harmonic dictation. Curriculum is based on moveable-do solfege and a strong affinity for knowledge of function of scale degrees.
Students will also receive a 1-year subscription to the Auralia web-platform so they will be able to continue to develop their skills throughout the school year. Download this Information Sheet for more details and a complete course schedule.
